27 YEARS OLD!

My birthday was Sunday! 26 was such an amazing year for me and I am hoping that 27 will be just as good if not better. I didn't do much. Derrick got me a gift certificate to get my nail and toes done so I did that and we did some shopping for Keelan, then went to dinner with my Mom. It was a great day and I enjoyed just about every minute of it. Oh I forgot we also went to the park. I will have to upload those pictures later. They are on my camera. Keelan's birthday was yesterday. We are having his party this weekend. I am excited about it and I pray that it goes how I have it pictured in my head. I am still making decorations and things and I feel like I'm not going to have enough time. The only thing that is complete is the backstage passes! The boys had baseball practice yesterday so we took cupcakes for his team. He had a pretty good day. He is 4 years old now and I am wondering when the meltdowns and constant crying and fit throwing will cease. We have been dealing with this for 2 years now. I don't know what to do anymore and I am hoping he will grow out of it as he gets older.

I am a reader. I love it and I am so glad that Malique does too. At least for now. He has a things going on at school if you read a certain number of minutes by a certain day you get to go to a Nashville Sounds game. He plays baseball so he is really excited and really wants to go. This is my sidekick reading Speed Racer.

Hospital Stay

My sweet baby boy had to stay in the children's hospital "overnight" for observation. It was actually from about 1:00am - 12:00 pm He started having a runny nose yesterday morning. He was really fussy most of the day and would only sleep if I was holding him. We suctioned his nose, sat in the steamy bathroom with him, and tried infant chest rub on his feet and covered with socks. (Old school remedy that has always worked for my other kids) Nothing made i better, in fact he was getting worse. By night time he was so congested and it sounded like it was all in his chest. At about 10:30 we were walking upstairs to change his diaper and he was making noises like he couldn't get his breath. It is so hard to explain but the look on his face just said I can't breathe. I hit him on the back and blew in his face. (I don't know why I blew in his face, but I did) He gasped for air and then began squawling. It scared the mess out of me, but I thought ok I'll just stay downstairs with him and watch him all night. At 12:30 he did it again. I decided to go to the ER. There was no one in the waiting room thank goodness so we were able to go right back. They checked him out and said his lungs were clear. Shocked me because they sure didn't sound clear to me. Any who, he had no fever, tested negative for RSV and the Flu. They kept him "overnight" to monitor him and make sure he didn't have another episode. He didn't and we were able to go home. No medication or anything. He is still congested, but sounds better than last night. I haven't slept in about 36 hours and I can't even think about it because I still have so much to do.

I love reading! It is actually one of my favorite pass times. I don't really have a certain genre I read from.  One of my main issues is remembering things that i have read and sometimes what it was about.

3.) Three Sisters Island Trilogy (Nora Roberts- all 3 are great)

4.) Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang (Chelsea Handler- Hilarious I laughed out loud the whole book)

3 Months Old!!!

Xavier is 3 months old now! He is learning so much everyday! It is crazy. He only wakes up once at night now, he bats at his toys, and recognizes his bottle and is also trying to hold it! He is getting so big so fast. I already miss the newborn stage, but I am excited to see him learn things and develop his own little personality. We also started signing to him. I have never done this before so I don't know alot about it. I imagine it will take a while for him to start signing back. I am really excited about it. Can you imagine a baby crying because he's are hungry and mommy or daddy makes the sign for milk and being like yes that is what I want! I'm glad you know!

Strolling in the house

So as I have mentioned before, I am a super busy mom! Sometimes the only way I can get things done is by strolling Xavier through the house. He loves to sit up and check out what is going on. I love that this stroller has straps that go across his chest and not just the waist.

We just turned in the application for Keelan to go to pre-k. I am hoping he gets in! It would be so good for him. Baseball is also starting back and this is Keelan's first year. I am so excited to see my boys play.

10 Day Challenge*~* Day One *~* Secrets

I don't really have any secrets. I am pretty honest person so most of these things will probably be things I haven't talked told a lot of people about.

1.) I fully believe in the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, but since there are somethings I don't understand or don't make sense to me I wonder what parts are actual truth and what parts are things people have made their own.

2.) I hardly ever cry, and when I do it takes a lot to get me to that point.

3.) I am terrified of someone close to me passing away. I can't imagine how I would handle it.

4.) I have deja-vu very often, and it freaks me out.

5.) I often wonder what kind of person my biological father is.

6.) I wish I could go back and change things so that Gavin was still with me.

7.) I regret not graduating, and think about getting my GED all the time, but I don't take any steps to make it happen.

8.) I would have loved to have become a psychologist or a history teacher.

9.) My step-grandfather (who in my eyes is my real grandfather) is the most important and influential man in my life.

10.) I love my job and I would be perfectly fine with working there for the rest of my working days.

YAY For Help!

Malique and Keelan love their baby brother so much! They have been asking since he was born if they could change a diaper. I always told them no because he was so tiny and they don't understand how gentle you need to be. But the other day I finally let them. Keelan held his leg and Malique did the actual changing. Xavier slept through the whole thing. I love my little loves so much!

11 weeks and favorites

Xavier is 11 weeks old today! It he really learning a lot and growing so great! He recently found his hands and sucks on them all the time. He cried his first real tear the other day :( He is very ticklish and get so excited over things. He doesn't coo very much but he kicks those little legs and flaps those arms. It is too freakin cute! He recognizes our faces now and smiles when he sees you. He is just so perfect! Since he is now 11 weeks old and I have had some time to try out different baby things I now have a list of some of my most favorite items. Yes, I had 900 kids but every baby is different and they come out with new things everyday it seems! Ok, so these are not in any order...

First is this lotion. I usually always use the lavender because it smells so good. But I was given this and wanted to smell it. It is like heaven in a bottle! It smells so yummy! And I just want to eat my little guy up when I put this on him.

I wish they made these in all sizes. They are the softest disposable diapers. I have heard people say these leaked for them, but I have never had a problem. I love them and Xavier's skin loves them which has proved to be hard to please :(

All other wipes give him diaper rash. These are super think and gentle on his delicate skin

Yes, once again my little Stud Muffin's skin has expensive taste! The bottle is $10 for 3oz. But it is the only thing that will get rid of his rash when he gets one.

I got these at my baby shower, and I had never seen them before. They are so amazing. When my boys including Xavi got a cold and had crusty noses these were my lifesaver. It softens the little boogies and makes it easy to get it off their little faces. Love them!

With this same cold we bought this because obviously Xavi can't blow his nose and if was so stuffed up. This made it so much easier to get everything out with the help of a bulb or the nose frieda whichever was handy.

And this is my little love taking his bath today at 11 weeks. He still LOVES baths :)

Vocabulary

Malique's school always has something going on. This week they had different things each day. Today was vocabulary hat day. He had drawn a word from a hat and had to make a hat representing that word. His word was "disguise". We wanted to do more, but had a hard time finding the things we were looking for. It turned out ok though.

Tummy Time

Xavier HATES tummy time! He just lays there and cries until you pick him up or turn him over on his back. He may never crawl if he keeps this up. we will keep trying everyday though because it is important.
